I get the feeling someone changed something in the chatroom. It now requests you log in and give a password. Unfortunately, the regular user name and password for JREF does not work? HELP!!! I'll die without my dose of daily chat.

A month? Blimey! That is a long time.

I wonder what's been 'upgraded' on it? Everytime I've popped in it's seemed to work like a charm (and indeed is one of the main reasons I joined Jref, the other being the loyal, friendly members here).

I guess i'll have to cancel my weekly tipsy chatter tomorrow night after the pubs close and i've had my traditional curry?

why doesn't the regular user name and password work? It seems like if chat is part of JREF it should work; very strange.

everyone in admin (in Japan) will be going to Dutch's wedding; then they will be hung over for a week, LOL.
Guess we just have to wait it out. Maybe if we offer a reward for anyone who can break the password, someone can break it?

I'll happily make allowances for DB's wedding and hangovers (rather them than me!) but it'd be very nice, and reasonable imho, if they could write a line or two to fill us in...

I remember now - someone was in the chat earlier today - a 'regular' member I recognise from another forum - perhaps I should PM him to see how he navigated his way in?

I have just checked the usergroup permissions, there should be no difficulties in logging in. Please let me know if the problems persist.

There seems to be a problem with the usergroup integration. Right now only registered members and admins seem to be able to log in. All other usergroups appear to be locked out. I have no clue what's the reason for that glitch, but I am working on it.

I'm confused! How can I become a 'registered member' - everyone seems to be excluded! I would gladly become one to get into chat, but then again no-one else is in there...it would be so lonely...

Admin is trying hard !

Admin worked on it a long time today with no luck.We need a "GO BACK" program for when software updates don't work; you press a button and go back to when it did.
Hopefully it will get fixed soon.
