I don't know how I could miss this thread the first time. Nice title Dave, it makes me want to pull my legs up on my chair.
What am I doing? I am thinking about writing an email to the company I work for to complain why they only have jerks working for upper management.
But instead, I got bored of a movie after 20 minutes, so I am searching the forum. I'm finding some cool old threads like this one popping back up.

@Misa, thanks and you should write an email.
I just went to a small temple with my mother in law, and wife to pray for OBON... pretty weird/interesting that was, being the only foreigner in a ceremonie like this haha.
now I am sitting here on a sofa, watching my wife putting on some new clothes and my mother in law says her opion about it, omoroii ( funny)

I was just cleaning the apartment, and now I'm going to have lunch. Yes, a little late.
Next I'm going to go with a friend to a festival in -ahem- Toyota for Obon . (It's only part of Toyota because of a recent merger. Even the people who live there find it funny that their address now says Toyota.)

through the window the grey wispy clouds drift slowly over the crenellations. Birds were flying a minute ago, but now they're gone. Still, the sound of parrot chatter here in southern England catches my ear...
I think i'll have another cup of tea!

Yeah but it sure "sounds" peaceful, I say enjoy it as long as you can.
Me I am "downing" a favorite beverage, as I am off tomorrow, it's a Japanese holiday.

That also sounds relaxing - the calm before the national holiday storm, so to speak!
I virtually clink my coffee-filled mug to your beverage of choice and say kanpai to you Obeika, as I sit and wonder if these dark clouds will bring more hail, or even the threatened snow...
