no, I'm talking about the accusations about how "not" free we are as Americans and what a terrible place to live. its all nonsense and scare tatics used by anarchist, commies and the socialist left wing.
I always seen Japan as clean. Then again, I always stayed in Kansai most of the time. I also been to Korea and its filthy. Empty lots filled with trash and a lot of pollution.
The Filthest city I ever seen was Paris, France. I thought I was in the worst neighbor in Mooracco

DOOD! The thing on japanese girls going ga ga over white guys. ITS SO TRUE! Even if away from Japan. It goes for asian girls in general. Here in San Diego, you will only mostly see an asian chic with a white dood. I'm not racist or anything, but I cant help but see patterns. My asian girlfriends (not dating, just friends) are all into white guys, even if they dont admit it, but its kinda... obvious. My japanese girlie friends are only into white doods, they just dont admit it (well one of them does...). But they will admit they wont date other japanese guys, (but I think, asian guys in general). Its so obvious. Even my female friends totally admit that asian girls are ga ga over white guys. It sucks for the asian guys who like asian girls. Over here... you will never see an asian guy with an asian girl unless the girl is either traditional or part of a racial clique. This is how it is in San Diego.... for reals. I'm not racist or anything, I'm just stating what I see with my eyes when I go out on the town.
of course nothing is 100% and there are always exceptions and yada yada, I speak generally based on my observatons and comments from my friends (who are asian and girls themselves).

I am not misinformed, nor am I a communist or an anarchist--and what I'm saying is not "nonsense". It is my personal experience as someone who was born, raised, and has lived in the United States of America for his entire life.
America is a terrible place to live--being a New Yorker you should be especially aware of that right now...
...but then again, may of my fellow citezens have entered a remarkable state of denial since Sept. 11th.
I find it ironic that failing to stop a terrorist attack has induced more pride and patriotism than any of our accomplishments--it's kind of sad really.
At any rate I realize that arguing with someone who states his opinion with such passion would be pointless--since we obviously won't agree on the matter, I suggest we not bother aguing it any further as I'm sure we both have more enjoyable ways to spend our time.

I'll just say is I lived all over the Country and the World and living in New York is the best place to live.imho

All I can say is love it or leave it. I know MANY Japanese who tell me I'm lucky to live in America and would love to live here.
Theres more japanese in NEW York than any other place besides Japan. Some Guys, (not saying you for I don't know you) fall in love with Japan because they are nothing in their home Country, some girls actually pay attention to them which never happened in their home Country. This is why they fall in love with Japan and have yellow fever.
America has territory from Puerto Rico to Guam. We have it al. Mountains, wilderness, tropics, beaches, desert, major Cities, the strongest currentcy and the U.S Constitution. and like my grandma from Ireland told me to say "Thank God I am an American"

I really don't think it's the failure to stop the attack that has been the impetus of the rampant patriotism in this country. Rallying around a president during times of sudden conflict, especially during peace time, is a natural response, and even though people complain about how Bush has handled it, his approval ratings were sky-high following the attack. I suppose I can't speak for everyone, but my feelings of patriotism were sparked more by those that died in an attempt to save others in NY, and those who took it upon themselves to stop another plane from reaching its target at the cost of their lives. Ignorance was exacerbated by misleading shots of Middle Easterners celebrating, and this has definitely been a negative part of these past few years, but I don't think pride in your country is a negative thing. Of course, some people take it WAY too far...but that's nothing new to the US, nor will it end with the US.

You're right. I'm totally moving to a different country, because I'm so sick and tired of being able to spend my time talking about useless crap on the internet rather than having to scrape together a living picking berries and sewing Nike clothing for 15 cents a day. Poor us.

Illegal house searches? Where? By who? My house has never been raided (My osaka apt was however by japanese police. 14 of them, taking pictures and ripping the place apart for a gram of pot) I don't know of any other people that had there houses raided illegally by police for no reason. the patriot act made such searches legel so they arent illegal seraches anymore. but if you want proof innocent americans have been searched for no reason go watch fahrenheit 9/11 there are a couple cases documented in the film. in any event you are the one proclaiming the value of the patriot act, i myself see it as utterly useless and opressive if anything. but since you havent been able to say anything good about it i suppose you dont know why its good either and are just brainwashed into thinking so. benjamin franklin once said "those willing to sacrifice a little liberty for a little security will get neither."
