Anybody else out there enjoy listening to traditional Japanese music ?

So mesmerising! I would love to learn to play one day.
I have played a little of the korean drum... I think I just like making lots of noise.

I have to agree I love Japanese Traditional music...epically Shamisen, I really like the theater music to like Kabuki , and Bunraku they just have lovely sounds..I would love to learn how to play Shamisen some day

I recommend the Yoshida Brothers if you like the sound of the shamisen. You can see their videos on Youtube for a start.

usually military symphonies and choirs and such are amazing id be pretty surprised if that wasn't true for a country for japan

The Imperial Household Agency of Japan has a department specialized in music, and they play 窶ｰﾃｫﾅ?y gagaku (Japanese Imperial Court Music).
