Anyway, where was I. Oh yes, the bible has a red line indeed, that would be J-rock. The rules in particular aren't really to live after, it's more the idea of living a j-rock lifestyle and of course everything that has to go with it. Most rules are actually quite silly since they're not written by the author. For example rule number 14: The heel of the shoe shall be more than 12.5 cm.

I've been reading this thread with some interest, but refrained from making any comments, because (a) I know next to nothing about J-rock and/or visual kei, and (b) I don't want to get drawn into pointless arguments (me and my big mouth, lol).

I have some thoughts on your last post, Mr Miharu... (thoughts are quite an unusual occurence for me)... there are some things which puzzle me...

I hope the bit about 'living a j-rock lifestyle' was a joke, yes? Because, what is a j-rock lifestyle? Do you have to be a j-rocker to live it? Or a hardcore fan? And (maybe I'm wrong) I would have thought that any actual j-rocker (by which I mean Japanese rock/metal musician who makes a living from their music) would be automatically 'living a j-rock lifestyle' since they are one, and I'm sure their 'lifestyles' differ greatly depending on the person... Oh hell, I'm getting bogged down, I'll stop now. No doubt that was a joke. I mean, I *know* the bit about the heels is funny. I'm on safe ground there... 😌

Another point (and I don't mean to quibble with your text, it's just a point, ok?) is, Deep Purple the first metal band? Well, that may be but... I'm not sure everyone is gonna agree on that one...

Deep Purple? Well, I'm not sure either but that was what's said in the book, and a lot of poeple I know do agree with the statement.

And about that sentence; Well, I think that almost all J-rockers are visual now so I guess I do agree with it.

Oh dear... you have misunderstood my comments yet again... and now I have a headache. :eek:

What I mean about #1. was that you are doing a poor job of representing the material you are trying to persuade us to read and accept as truth. You want us to respect and believe your bible as truth but to continually make blatant errors while trying to persuade us with you knowledge.

For #2. I don't know whether or not that was an insult. :eek: There is no ryhme or reason to your comments. I'm beyond lost... it would be a good idea to take into account that you are 'teaching' people. I suppose you've never done that before. Your teaching skills smell worse than cabbage.

#3 and it doesn't bother you that you are making no impact on us or making us really want to know this information you have.

Finally #4 I know you did... I just enjoy being bothersome. :-)

Kei means style, not type of person,well not in the context at least -> ﾆ池ﾆ淡ﾆ停?ｦﾆ但ﾆ停?ｹﾅ地 (bijuaru kei)
the dictionary says group for the kanji KEI/ﾅ地 , but literally you can translate it to style :)

True that, X-Japan and BUCK-TICK were the ones that introduced the whole visual thingy basicly, and "gothic-lolita" is a subgroup grown out of the whole visual kei :)

Note: Visual Kei is NOT the kind of J-Rock, only the fashion as some groups are not visual.It has absolutely nothing to do with the music or lyrics ☝
 
Being a fan of visual kei and J-rock without knowing it's history is kind of weird.That would mean you just like seeing the pretty clothes/make up and all that visual stuff + the music without even knowing why they do it, why they wear all those clothes,make up,etc. :?

I do like his/her idea of enlighting us with information to understand what J-rock is all about,I know there is a sort of 'Bible' but the way Mr Miharu handles the situation is not that good! *sigh* The purpose of teaching someone isn't just pissing him off and calling them idiots for not knowing :eek:
