My fellow visuals, j-rock fans, cosplayers, harajukus and gothic lolitas,

It's time for the awkward to meet the awkward. The biggest secret among the fanatic fans of the life-style which is known as j-rock. The ultimate, the beautiful, the insane: The J-rocker bibleツ…

ツ"But *I* surely know *everything* about j-rock!!ツ" you might be saying at this very moment. Or not. But if you do, then I wouldn't blame you, because you and about x million people think exactly the same. And sure they do know everything about what he/they/?she? wore on that event or what he/they/?she? played for a song on that particular concert. Or maybe even why he/they/?she? wrote that song in the first place. Those people are what people like me call ツ"f and r'sツ". People that base their knowledge on facts and rumours. With a kind word; well-informed people. And if you are such you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of *cough*. But it would be better if you knew more about the story behind the story, so that when you actually meet a person that is more than just well-informed, you don't have to make fool of yourself. See I'm just trying to be nice here ^^

So, if you want to know more about it, please let me know, and I shall judge if I think you're worth it.

Sincerelyツ…

I have to admit, I have no clue what that is all about.

For the record, I know practically nothing about j-rock. So if you need a *coughcough* well-informed person, I am emphatically not that person. I have only been listening to j-rock for a few months, and out of that time, for only about a month have I actually begun to find out anything about bands other than just listening to a few of their songs.

That's partly why I'm here - to pick the brains of the better-informed-than-me. Oh, and of course, to facilitate intellectual discussion with such incisive remarks as "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! leather shorts!" and suchlike.

Ummm, ok, I want to know more about it. Whatever it is. :? Because you can bet your bottom dollar I know **** all about it already. I might not be very knowledgeable, but if you want awkward, you're looking in the right place... :p

... nanionen?

umm.... well.... err... there aren't actually... many (of the regulares at least) people on this forum who claim to know everything.... there are very well informed people, but... even they make their mistakes, and... well... i know i'm happy to be corrected.... as long as it's done in a kindly maonored way....

actually... i worry a lot that everything i'm telling people is a load of bull.... because i know i have a very bad habit of sounding like i know exactly what i'm talking about.... when really i don't.......
and somtimes i make stuff up that i think might work...... or is based on something i vaguly remeber reading/hearing but i'm not sure.... 😌

but yeah... so spill the beans already.... what's this big knowledge you have?

ok sorry but whats your point? ^^;;; i dont know everything about j-rock and im still learning...if thats what you meant...

hey... maybe this is their plan to piss us all off.......

leave us this confusing message, then never comment again.... leaing us to go insane and eventually start trying to eat eachother for survival!

*cough*

or... er... not.... 😌

I think it would be brilliant to just stop commenting and piss him off right back. I don't know about you guys but I don't feel 'pissed'... they aren't very good at pissing people off. ☝

lol, have you read their profile?
not much... but... they seem pretty sure of the fact people are gunna hate them.....

Hey, Mr Miharu, another swedish person! But... I hope I make more sense than him... :? :? I really don't understand his post... :?

I don't know a lot about jrock at all... I'm really still a newbie... I'm learning though, and that's what this forum is soo great for! *hugs it*

So.. yeah... I really don't understand this... thread? *faints from confusion*

So what are you, a rumor-rumor monger?
I dunno about anyone else, but I don't live in fear of meeting someone who knows more than I do, rumors, facts or otherwise. That'd be bizarre, especially on such a topic as j-music.

Anyway, you smell like pee. All housewives do.

"So, if you want to know more about it, please let me know, and I shall judge if I think you're worth it."

Don't be so condescending. Someone with 1 post to their name proclaiming to know more than everyone else has zero credibility on these boards. If you want respect or legitimacy in the eyes of others... then you have to earn it. To "piss me off" would imply that I would actually have to care about what you think. Sorry, but you haven't earned that privilege from me yet. My advice to you is take your time and get to know the other members that frequent this forum. You might be surprised at just how much our ardent fan base knows. Anyways, carry on...

what mate? :D Maybe it's the meds but I have no idea what you're talking about.

Okay. To make a short story long...

Back in the seventees it was chaos among the youngsters of Japan. The revolution that had started among the tired kids of UK had started to affect in the young japanese society. Of course not officially but there were always some weird people. Anyway, one among those very weird poeple was Hiiro Watanabe. An artist greatly inspired by, that other guy who kind of created that surreal pop art in musical from, wich we call J-pop. But since he was affected by a large amount of mint-cigarettes and distorted guitars, he wanted something else. He wanted to split the rock-revolution and make it his own. So he started writing a book. THE BOOK.

As J-rock started back then, it was all some blur of punkmusic and kabukidrums, and of course the dream of NOT being a buisnessman and mentally die when your twenty.

And as the years whent on the book got thicker and thicker with more rules and more history and blablabla....

... until it became what 137 people call today; The J-rocker Bible.

Want to know the rules? Write me again....

So is there any particular reason people should care about 'rules' and 'history' of this musical genre? It's not like they'd be significant or relevant to people outside of Japan.
