I didn't know where else to put this, so I figured this would be as good a place as any.

I just wanted to bring this great book to everyone's attentions. It is a great read that I highly recommend. It is written by the editors of Midnight Eye - Visions of Japanese cinema - interviews, features, film reviews, book reviews, calendar of events, links and more..., a great website about Japanese cinema.

I heard about this book, as well as the website, from my Japanese Film teacher. Had the book come out a little earlier, he would have made it one of our textbooks. I figured I would give it a look. Once I did, it was obvious that I had to buy it.

We will be having a live forum with Midnight Eye's editor Tom Mes this coming Monday at 5pm est. Tom has also written a book on Takashi Miike called AGITATOR:THE FILMS OF TAKASHI MIIKE. He has also done many audio commentaries for Artsmagic's DVD's. He's an expert on Japanese cinema, so if you like your Japanese cinema, this would be a great forum to check out!

great site...have bought many films due to awareness created by this site...haven't read the book though!
