Hello all, I am new to this forum.
I'm staying in Japan for 3 months and I'm currently learning the Japanese grammar.
Being here for a month, I'm still unable to communicate with the Japanese T.T
I have a few questions regarding the sentence structure. It always confuses me when I want to construct a complex sentence with two clauses.
For Japanese sentences with 2 clauses (C1, C2), are they always read as (C2, C1) in English?
For example:
泣いた方がいい急ぎ過ぎてるかな
*It's from the song 曖昧.
C1 [泣いた方がいい] (would it be better to cry)
C2 [急ぎ過ぎてる]かな (I wonder if it is too hurry)
My translation: I wonder would it be better to be too hurry to cry
Another example:
この恋諦めて終わりにすればいいの
C1 [この恋諦めて] (Give up this love)
C2 [終わりにすればいいの] (Is it better to end)
My translation: Is it better to end and give up this love.
Am I right? :s
One more question- How to say this sentence in Japanese?
"Being here (in Japan) for a month, I'm still unable to communicate with the Japanese"
Any help would be appreciated.
