Shopping in winter?

I will be in Japan this winter, and I want to do some shopping for clothes. I haven't been there before, and I leave in Singapore where the weather is hot almost everyday, so I'm wondering if I'll be able to get any clothes suitable to be worn in Singapore (such as clothes for their summer and spring seasons) during this period of time I'm going?

Japan has tons of clothing stores, there will be less available but there will still be a lot of short-sleeve and summer fashions available. Try Uniqlo, they're like a Japanese GAP, and if you're in the Tokyo area I highly recommend hitting Shimokitazawa because it'll be gone soon and its a really nice area for small independent shops with interesting clothing and accessories for both men and women. Lots of vintage too.
