「ホントはシャンパンぐらい飲みたいところだけど、ジュースで我慢ねっ!」
Context: There's a welcoming party for some guy. The girl (who cooked all the food and prepared everything) says this to the guy at the party while they are eating and then pours some juice in his glass.
I'm mostly interested in 「飲みたいところ」and 「で我慢」parts.
Pretty sure 「シャンパンぐらい」means "at least champagne" or "something like champagne". If anyone could confirm, it would be great.
About 「飲みたいところ」, I don't understand the usage of ところ here. Also, what would be the difference if 「を我慢」was used instead.
Any help would be appreciated and if possible, keep it as literal as possible.
