couldnt decipher this in manga i was reading
Having hard time making sense of this sentence first of all is
有らぬ＝あらぬ here

also whats with the っと, that something you just do in speech? or is that simply と with the little emphasis

So im guessing the line is something along the lines of its improper to have a relationship with him because of rumours of some sort.

What exactly does the 有らぬ do here? I don't see how it changes the translation, or meaning.

~~~立てら れるんじゃねぇの part without the aranu already implies that there going to start the rumor again does it not?, so why the aranu?

あらぬ modifies 噂. It literally means "a rumor that doesn't exist"(= "a false rumor").
