Hi everyone. My name is Stan and from Hong Kong. I read online
that a MRI in Japan costs as little as $160 usd in Japan. I need
to ask a favor from you guys, does anyone happen to know
any hospital that would charge me just around that price for
a MRI and is easy to access to as it is hard for me to navigate
online since I can't understand Japanese and all these websites
of hospitals and imaging clinics are in Japanese and
there
are always no replies from them when I sent out an inquiry e-mail.
And I think it's not all the hospitals in Japan offer the scans at this price..

If anyone is kind enough to provide me with information, I think
I will come to Osaka or Tokyo or any other cities depending on
the price you tell me and the air ticket price with the main purpose
for taking a MRI for my neck.

I presume I will stay in Japan for some few days. From 28/12
to early Jan(or earlier since I haven't booked my air ticket) if anyone
would be kind enough to host me, it would mean a lot to me
and I would be so grateful.

Anyone with experience with this kind of stuff, don't be hesitant
to contact me via message. You don't necessarily need to be
hosting me or anything, just give me the details about the
hospital and charge and genuinely, anything would be greatly appreciated
at this point.

p.s. I'm just waiting until 28th to go on this trip since I have
an exam coming up and I have checked the airfare price and the
deal on 28th is the cheapest for departure :)

I'd love to hear from any of you.

Cheers
Stan

I don't know, but the price you quote may only apply if you're covered under the Japanese national health care system.

You would not want to come here. I had a neck MRI last year, and it cost over $2,000 US.

I doubt you will find it that cheap, and even if you do that would be the price for people who are enrolled in one of the public health insurance schemes. We pay at most 30 percent out of our own pockets, but you would be paying 100 percent.

Here is the price chart of Yaesu Clinic

As you can see, the price is between 26,000 and 42,000 yen. (non-insurance patients)

I had an MRI done recently (last 12 months), and that was roughly the cost. But as mentioned above, that was what I paid after Japanese health insurance paid the other 70 percent of the cost. Do the math.

You're not getting responses because of the language barrier and (mostly) because you don't have insurance here.
