AAAHH YEAH! lol! I totally feel it especially at work I'm getting all gitty and stuff I just wanna go go go! But I'm lucky I have a really good job that allows me to travel for long periods of time without worry. Ok so it's almost the end of February and I'm getting anxious I hope the time goes by fast!

Don窶冲 worry I will keep all of you posted with stories and pics.

Well that's wonderful you're leaving. Sounds like you're going to have a wonderful time. 👍

I love Japanese Hip Hop! Im a little jealous that I cant do the same thing... too damned expensive! Be sure to tell us the best Hip Hop bars though!
I was a bit disappointed in Kabuki -cho... we sort of got led to one ('its the only one around here') and told all sorts of bullshit by the tout (non-japanese) so that he could make his commission.
So yeah, tell us the good spots ok?

I think I know what youre speaking about , is it a place called (the capital of Japan) Loose ?? They made us go in and buy drinks when there was nobody at the club ...

Oh , and have fun !!!!

I hope you have a great time! 👍
And please remember us from time to time and share some of your experiences here! :-)

Haha have fun!
I went to tokyo last summer for over a month!
Loooooooooong flight, but worth it!

I also have to say I AM LEAVING, 15JUNE AMSTERDAM-HELSINKI-OSAKA...

Return ticket? WHY I AM STAYING IN JAPAN :D WOEHOE.. I got myself A fine Japanese lady.. laacoocaaraaacaaaaaaaaaa lacoocaaraaacaaaa

Thanks guys! Congratulations Dutch baka I hope everything works out for you and the little lady. Kari Nari it is expensive to go to Tokyo I had to save every little penny for 2 years to go over there, but the exchange rate between Canadian dollars and Japanese Yen is amazing compared to two years ago! Right now its 1$CAN = 101YEN so I wont have to stress about money and expenses. The documentary is more geared towards break-dance culture in Japan and the influences and differences between hip hop/break-dance culture in Japan, Thailand and North America. I'm also going to be doing some filming in Bangkok for 5 days to. I'm really excited because I just bought this camera for my documentary.

Cool! why don'tcha pack me into your suitcase so I can go too? :D J/K

I't so cool you can go to Japan. i envy you. ^^ :(

Suki-Yaki, I didn't bother to remember the name of the crap club... but yeah there was no-one there, and when we got downstairs, they told us that they had just closed for a 'private christmas function'... so quite possibly the same place. Arrggh what a waste of money! Luckily one of the staff was really cute and friendly.

Blade Bangkok will be great too! Pity you arent going upto northern Thailand, there are some great unknown to foreigner bars up there, with great sounds etc. Even some of the touristy type bars are good fun. Rasta was one of them, all the staff had dreadlocks and afros, and I think they did tattoos there too... not quite the hip-hop theme you were after... but I enjoyed it.
That exchange rate is good! Sounds like you have a good amount of money behind you, so enjoy and have a great time!

mmmm i have to wait over 2 year before i have a chance of going :(
i envy you blade <.< lol but good look...
hope you enjoy it and hope u tell us all bout it

First off : Congratulations on achieving something I never could : Save up money
Second : Wich airlines are you taking? Did you get an interesting rate?
If you don't mind telling me through Pm. I live near Ottawa, price should be the same.

Thank you, and have fun!
I know I would.
Matt

Go with an open mind (and some patients) and it'll be awsome. :)

Theres two types of people in the world, those who've been to japan and those who havnt. :p

Ask for a pizza or normal "Nikuman" at a 7 eleven, and personally, i prefer strawberry pocky.

Also green-tea just tastes like hot water to me :/.

Not the nicest water going around but just water nethertheless.

Thanks for the advice guys! This is my second time going, my first was a bit disappointing because I had a touch of bad luck on a WHV. The old hag at the WHV office in Tokyo kept discouraging me in getting a job. Every time I would bring up a job posting she would say "not a good job" or some of the job postings they had said "white only" felt like I was in 1950's America. I finally got a job but had to leave early for personal reasons. I'm going back a changed man a driven man.

BRICK No worries bro let me give you some advice on how to save up cash.
First of all stop buying lunch in food courts and bring your lunch or dinner with you to work from home, you can save tons of cash by doing just that. Don't go to the bar as often because drinking just drains your account and stay home as often as you can because the more that you stay home the more money you will save.
My ticket cost me only $955CAN return non stop Toronto to Tokyo. My secret is not to buy your ticket from big travel agencies like flight center because they jack up their prices big time, yeah they are good for package week deals to Cuba or Cancun but they suck for long haul flights. I go to small Asian travel agencies because they can get you good deals. My best advice is to shop around to different travel agencies.

well when you make it over here let me know.. i love showing people around Tokyo.
