Japanese girls views on white guys

Coming from someone who lives or has lived in japan, How do Japanese girls feel about white guys? I know that a lot of people are probably going to want to tell me that opinions differ for everyone and that you can't dichotomize a question with so many variables into an A or B answer, but if you could just give me any kind of answer aside from the "There's no one answer" answer it would be greatly appreciated. oh and to help narrow the field, I don't mean girls who live in a rural village in the middle of nowhere, I mean decently populated urban/suburban areas. A big difference I noticed.................

was being able to speak Japanese. I made little to no headway with Japanese women until I could converse with them. The better my Japanese got the better the chances were of meeting and dating "nice" girls. At least it worked that way in 1970 and 71 , LOL.

Well, I think Mike cash misinterpreted my question, I wasn't strictly speaking in terms of sex appeal and my motives are certainly not to go to Japan to try and get "laid" I was just wondering if they had any particularly strong or ubiquitous perceptions about us as in maybe they think we look funny, maybe for some reason they think we seem exotic or cool, maybe they think we're all just out to try and get some, etc. etc. I just figured a few people would have some personal experience and some interesting input like Uncle Frank, or Glenski. Also Thor, I know everyone's different, but there is usually a general consensus amongst people for certain things so if you have any input concerning any generalizations Japanese women might have about white men that would be cool. Thank you though for your responses either way, always good to get any kind of feed back! Perhaps in the future I will learn what questions are better to ask.

The reason, I'm a 20 year old white dude who wants to go to Japan, I like girls and want to know what they think of me. I know very little about Japanese girls, and so wanted to learn of any possible prevalent conceptions they had about my race and gender.

Not being white I guess I don't have a whole lot of input on this one. Of course it depends on the foreigner, the Japanese women, and knowing the language helps I'm sure.

But from what I've seen and heard from students there is definitely some kind of appeal. There wouldn't as many commercials, advertisements, etc., featuring white males if there was no interest at all.

The only way is to test the water and see.

Dude there actually is no one answer. Some of the population is into foreigners, some don't care either way, some would never date a foreigner, some would date a foreigner but since they can't speak English never consider it, some would date but not marry a foreigner, some want to escape from Japan etc...

But let me put it to you this way, if you are a decent looking guy and have no problems with women back home you probably will find yourself successful here. And if you are fat geeky loser back home I would imagine you will not have much better luck here.

Assuming you are an average dude though, I would not expect your average girl to be ready to immediately spread her legs for you, but if you really want to I am sure that you can find a Japanese woman out there who will want to sit on your penis just because you are white.

How to make friends? You're coming as a tourist. I live here. Big difference. I started making friends with people from work and some students. Went from there. You're in a different boat. I'd say the best bet for a traveler is to stay at a hostel, or just be otherwise outgoing without being obnoxious or aggressive.

I'm a fan of the old adage, "There are no stupid questions", and it applies to this thread. Yet, was the subject in any way of good taste? I don't think so. You basically asked whether or not Japanese women would be interested in you, based on your ethnicity. As I told you, it's on an individual basis. You already know this, so while this question was not stupid, it was in poor taste and you already knew the answer. My suggestion to you would be to think before you post.

Titty sex? As you know, most English "swear" words are censored on this forum, Mike Cash. The delusions of weaboos are vast, the themes I mentioned are popular in doujinshi. Although I don't partake in them myself, you'd be surprised how engrossed many weaboos become in anime/manga culture that they lose sight of contemporary Japanese culture. And that what they've experienced in one small aspect of Japanese culture hardly accounts for it's entirety, you know what I'm talking about?

There's a difference between asking whether or not Japanese women are especially interested in men of Caucasian descent, as the original poster was requesting a blanket answer, or generalization of Japanese women. I'm not a fan of women or men being brought up with regards to sexual interest. I am not a prude person, however, and I do apologize if mentioning certain doujinshi themes has offended you. I too find them slightly disconcerting. Truth be told, I barely understand. I'm not a sexually active person, as I identify as being asexual. I find most pornography and related subjects to be silly, and I would go so far as to say it is obnoxious.

It's like my manager at work trying to relate to me through sexual interest in women. I found it awfully embarrassing. The only reason I'd be attracted to someone was if I got to know them very well, but sex would hardly be at the forefront of my thoughts.
