My father will be travelling to Japan in August, but due to a stomach complaint can not eat anything spicy. Would someone be willing to post me a few lines in Japanese that he can show to Restaurant owners so that they know to give him bland-ish food.

example :

Dear sir/madam. Thank you for taking the time to read my note. My doctor has advised me that due to a stomach condition I am unable to eat anything that is very spicy or may cause me discomfort. I would be grateful if you could make sure that my order contains no ingrediants which may cause me upset. I am most grateful for your help.

I'd like to try and answer to test my knowledge of keigo, but some would surely give you a better answer. So do not rely on mine
Dear sir/madam (? how about this?)

Konnichiwa Nyanko-san!

Guldo-san has already answerd but I adjust his text near natural.

I think Japanese foods tends to be less strongly flavored than foreign foods, especially Kansai. But your father should be careful about Wasabi and Karashi. Wasabi and Karashi are most stlong spice in Japan. Wasabi is in Sushi.
