You aren't. I know I am guilty of similar habits..

And other things. I get really paranoid about dents in the pages of my j-rock magazines, so I make sure they are all tidy and stacked in a neat pile. I kind of freaked out about it before. <.<'' My mother almost squished a j-rock magazine of mine with her dumb purse, and I was like, "NOOOO!" and quickly dove to rescue my magazine. Now my mother really thinks something's wrong with me. But that's only me.

It is a special feeling though, when you haven't heard a new album before you buy it. I always feel so...happy when I get a new album. It's a special feeling, to watch or listen to new music in your own home for the first time. So don't give in! Be strong!


I tried to find a copy of the Cure magazine with that Satsuki pic in it, but they'd already put out next months issue. Darn. So much j-rock, so little time to buy it..
 
Well, I'm gonna try to wait til my copy arrives too. I'm probably gonna order some more stuff soon, so maybe that'll take my mind off of it.


btw: has anyone here ever ordered from HMV? I just wanna know how reliable they are.

jrock wise i kind of just buy CDs and leave out all the other stuff like magazines, merchanidse, what not, cost too much, and i'm into it because i like the music more than the other frills.
but i try to keep my CDs in good shape, including the booklet, case, and the disc itself.

I have ordered from HMV before. ^^ That's where I bought Cinema Cradle and they are very reliable. A week or so after buying it, they sent it out and it arrived really fast.

They're just... so expensive. x.x

@daki: I only get cds and dvds really... like you I find it more worthwhile to get them since i'm not made of money, (T_T) but I've bought a few other things like couple flyers of RES to put on my wall. I'm gonna buy the ARTISTIC in BLACK 7 photo collection of Satsuki and Kisaki whenever the freak it comes out. Oh, and I am the same... I take better care of my cds/dvds then I do of myself... HAHA
 
well my X Japan collection is set and I'm a few a way from completing my dir en grey collection. i'm more a fan of CDs than live videos, i found myself not watching them too much.. gonna stock up on CDs when i go to japan in a month..of cuz including RES..it's just alot cheaper at used CD stores so i'm gonna buy quite a few. i listen to too many bands and sometimes i only like a few songs of them, so i don't buy everything i listen to..plus, the money issue
 
I'm the same. CDs only. It would be pretty wierd for a guy to buy a few magazines...just to see another guy. LOL!

Actually, ReS was one of the first Japanese bands I got into. I'd heard their Wither single first, and not too soon after, I found out they were a VK band. Today, they're still one of my favorite Japanese bands.

I have ordered from HMV before. ^^ That's where I bought Cinema Cradle and they are very reliable. A week or so after buying it, they sent it out and it arrived really fast.

Thanks for the info! Shipping is pretty expensive there, but they have a few items I can't find anywhere else.

don't go hmv unless you have to, they charge hell lots for shipping, esp if u're far away from japan.
try www.yesasia.com, they give free shipping worldwide for i think purchases over $39 US. i bought from the a few times and they're great and fast, their indies/v kei collection could be limited, but they carry alot of major stuff so give it a try.
 
^ I've ordered from Yesasia 4 times already . Rentrer en Soi's new album was my 4th. Thanks anyways.

The problem is, if I order from Yesasia, the items I want will probably take over a month, and i'm very impatient lol. But if I order at HMV, my stuff will arive in about a week...though the shipping will cost 3200 yen! xD Plus, Yesasia doesn't have some of the stuff I'm looking for (although I have asked the staff to source 3 items for me, 2 of which were successful)
 
ya, as i've said, they carry more for major artists, after all they ain't specialized on indies music, but they've a huge collection if u want some major stuff. but u know, for 3200 you can buy another album
 
You know, this is my first time ordering from Yesasia... I ordered the new RES album from them. They've kinda disappointed me. =( They said they'd ship it out the day the album is released, but I got an e-mail this morning saying they can't ship it out until a WEEK later. T_____T This made me very sad.
 
really? they've never done taht to me..
maybe there is some shipping issues from the manufacturer to the company warehouse?
 
I got that too! TT___TT it's never happened to me before but...I'm a bit disappointed this time I pre-ordered it and it's still not shipping out until june 11..let alone waiting for it to actually arrive here...sigh ;;____;;

EDIT: WOW! The limited edition version of the new album is already "temporarily out of stock" at yeasasia! There must be a lot more ReS fans than we think. 0.0
Plus it says it won't be released until the 7th!!!! =_=

All I know is, I'd better recieve my copy!!!!
 
Hellooooo My names Sae and Im new I jsut happened to find this thread so I thought Id join since I'm a big fan of Res! Been a fan since.. not sure, but woah I love this band to bits! I actually only joined this forumn for this thread *ahem* bahaha ahh.. anyways nice to meet you all ^^ Ohh and the latest Res Album out today! (Well its 31st here where I live hehe) I cant wait to have a listen to it!

Well, today I bought the new album. It's great. I can't compare it to their other releases, since this is the first cd of theirs I bought. I'll let a more "experienced" ReS fan review it. But, from what samples I've heard from their older albums, this one definately has more loud guitars, and sounds like heavier rock. I can't really pick out a 'favorite song' at the moment because I liked all the songs I've heard so far.

The two pvs are really cool too. They're very similar stylistically. The camera has a fascination with Satsuki's gloves in the protoplasm pv. XD There is also a live performance, makes me want to see them live some day.

Satsuki can sing HIGH, for both men and women's ranges. I think the highest note I've heard him hit is a high F sharp.

I take good care of my CDs, but I also have never bought a magazine. Not that I haven't been tempted, but I much rather spend my money on CDs.

I preordered mine from cdjapan a while back and i'm still waiting for an email telling me they've sent my copy out. I sure hope it's soon though
 
I just recieved an invoice from Yesasia and my copy shipped out today. I guess it'll arrive in a week or 2...I *should* be able to wait to listen to it.

I thought it wasn't gonna ship until the 7th!

^ I ordered mine on the 11th of May. I did get an e-mail saying that the expected ship out date was June 5th, but I guess I got lucky.

Hopefully, they'll send your copy off soon too. ^^
 
Well, I'm pretty sure it's footage from a life performance, but the song sounds 'recorded' where they've pasted it over the actual life performance sound. :? I'll have to go watch it again to make sure...

Gah, and the camera jumps angles so quickly! People who get seizures, beware! There's no time to rest your eyes on one thing.
