Hello everyone!
I am interested in learning a little about business in Japan. Specifically what is the current sales process being followed by Japanese sales people in this COVID-19 era versus how things used to be prior to this global pandemic.
I would appreciate anyone able to help me answer some questions regarding this.

Thank you!

Since the pandemic started, most everyone in Japan is masked. Retail sales locations typically put up acrylic or plastic barriers between the sales staff and patrons. Even in convence stores and post offices, there is usually a clear barrier separating the staff and the patrons, at least at the cash registers. Some places have increased their use of electronic payments. Some restaurants have instituded digital menus rather than physical paper menus. In general, the same precautions being adopted everywhere else are being adopted by Japan also. One point to note is that Japan's covid numbers, even during the peaks (like the one now) are relatively low.
