Professor molesting young girl for 50 minutes

It's always surprising to read about guys with high status risking their positions by molesting young women in public.
What I don't understand though is how a guy can actually molest a girl for quite a long time without being stopped by the girl. For example, please check this article.

How is it possible that this professor was touching the girl for as long as 50 minutes? Could it be that she was afraid to try to go into another car or was she too shocked to reject him? And what about him, did he imagine, that she liked it or why did he continue touching her for 50 minutes?
I know these are question nobody can really answer for sure, but if you have any idea about it, would be interesting to read it.

The article says that he was accussed of molesting the student. I doubt he could go on for 50 minutes without him or her stopping him. I wouldn't be surprised if this is confused for public indecensy and someone else saw it on the train and reported.

Let's think this accusation is right and in fact he was molesting her-- for nearly an hour-- Well, it might be that she was just scared and let him do it. A lot of people, unfortunately, don't mind others push them around and just keep quiet. Another thing might be that she in fact liked it. I cannot come up with another explanation on the matter.

By the way, not that any kind of sexual assault is okay, but the title of this post was very misleading. 'Young girl' sounds far more disturbing than woman, and she was 21 so she was clearly a woman who was capable of defending the attack if she had the courage. Unfortunately she didn't, I'm not blaming her.. but the level of vulnerability is different.
