i really need to find a couple of phone numbers
is there a directory assistance or white pages in japan?
in particular gifu or aichi

if you can help me i will be VERY thankful.

Dial 104 and tell the operator the city and the name of the person.

i think they meant that they were looking for people who lived in gifu/aichi?

You figured that out all by your lonesome, did you? Good work.

And since the original poster is in Japan, all that is necessary is to dial 104 (directory assistance) and ask for the numbers. No big deal.

What do they call the residential phone book in japan? Townpage isnt it?

Townpage is the yellow pages (business). Hellopage is the white pages (residential)
