This story will sound strange, but my grandpa's house burned down last week. He's in the hospital but he's not in critical condition and is expected to recover. The houses didn't have insurance so we don't know what's going to happpen.

The weird part is that there's some bad spirit that's posessing my aunt (toritsuku) that has some grudge against our family. She was going out with this guy (my aunt is about 55 or so) and the guy's daughter was suddenly possed by another spirit and started talking with a man's voice, warning my aunt's ex BF to stay away from her because she's got an evil spirit.

Our house in Yamagata is completely burned down. We don't know what to do... the land is still ours though, but all that's there is debris. We don't directly think that the evil spirit caused the fire, but we def. think that something is up.

We're considering exoscism (oharai) or something, but we're not sure.

Ohhh, that's bad, but at least ur grandfather is ok ! Hmm..I never believed in ghosts,spirits etc., but I don't think a house will burn out of itself ☝ Pyromaniac maybe ?? or someone did it out of revenge :?

Whoa. That's spooky! Sorry to hear about your grandpa and the house. Maybe an exorcism will work. Let's keep our fingers crossed ne? Oh speaking of spooky things, my parents own some land and another house too.

It's the house my mother used to grow up in. The house is actually haunted too! Her father (my grandfather) spirit actually still hangs around the house. We know this because the people who we rent the house out to say that every morning on at the same on the dot they can hear a person making coffee in the kitchen, and then stirring it in a coffee mug. They even say they can hear whatever it is sit at the table and hear the shuffing of a newspaper! My parents don't know what to think of whole thing.

I've talked to my best friend about it, and we have come up with two possible solutions: 1.) The house was built by my grandfather. Due to this, he was very attached to the house. So the speculation is that he was so attached that when he moved on to the next life, he preferred to stay with the house rather than move on. 2.) The house is not really haunted, but rather for the same reasons as the first one, my grandfather was attached to the house so much that an impression was left there. In short, the house is literally reliving a memory of when my grandfather lived there. (There's actually sciencific evidence to back that one up too.) Either way it's pretty bizarre.

Well I hope everything goes well for you and your family, and you are able to get rid of the evil spirits. I knew two guys who played with chantting up evil spirits. They barely came out of the whole situation alive. Bad stuff to be messing with. It's just bad karma altogehter.

Sorry to hear that, my condolences with what happened, I hope you and your family will be able to find a way out of this..

but really, it is spooky to me, since I myself have never really had known anyone being possessed.. back in Indonesia I only heard of it as gossips, but never saw it or heard that kind of stuff happen to anyone I know.

btw if it was someone doing it out of revenge.. well.. it's gonna be really bad :/

Yeah, the women born into (not married into) my father's side of the family seems to have been kinda of cursed/possessed by some ghost with a grude... we have no idea what happened :/ I'm just lucky that I live far away in america where the ghosts can't get me
