Nissan Motor Co. announced plans to sell its headquarters in Yokohama for roughly 97 billion yen, while continuing to operate there under a 20-year lease. The building, located near Yokohama Station and the port, will remain the centre of its global operations. The sale, made to a Tokyo real estate company, is part of Nissan's ongoing effort to streamline its business and strengthen its financial base. The transaction is expected to generate a one-off profit of about 73.9 billion yen, which the company intends to invest in facility upgrades, digital transformation, and future research and development.
