Ninja/Kunoichi: Real?

hmm... not real.....

i did take japanese history, and one of the questions i asked my professor was about ninjas and if they were real.. he said they weren't and that there is no historical evidence supporting their existance

Ninjas were real. There is historical evidence support it, it's all over the place. Probably people shouldn't talk about it if they don't know about martial arts.

Take a look at TSKSR, they have ninjutsu in their curriculum. Togakure ryu ninjutsu has many similar techniques to the stuff in TSKSR. It'd be naive to think that ninjas never existed. Their purpose was so important, and their skills desired.

Even now, armed forces need people with the kinds of skills contained within ninjutsu ryuha.

By the way, I'm a member of the Genbukan as well (Previously I was Bujinkan)

I don't think there were real kunoichi back then, but there was one and she was in the Sanada ten. I'm not sure actually, so sorry about that. hee hee

There were very large numbers of kunoichi during the 1400's through 1600's. On woman in particular organized a massive network of homeless girls and took them under her wing, utilizing them in intelligence gathering operations.
