For anyone out there who are fans of Motoko, Batou and the rest of the Section 9 gang from Ghost in the Shell (like me), here's an interesting tidbit I just found via Anime News Network:

Given the popularity of GITS here in the States, I'm sure the movie will eventually make its way to video here soon enough. Also I read in Anime Insider magazine that Production I.G., the studio responsible for GITS just went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and that incoming funds from that could possibly result in a third season of cyber-asskicking from the Major and company. Pretty cool, eh?

And I do time identically, and a difficult case occurs frequently.
Existence of super Wizard grade hacker "ﾋ愿ｸ邃｢S窶ｰﾃｴ" becomes clear before long.

You could say that. 2nd Gig picks up where the first season left off.

You've visited Production I.G.? Way cool! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that there's a life size model of Motoko and/or a Tachikoma in the studio's lobby. Could you verify that for us? Thanks!

Surprisingly, I'm pretty excited about this. I saw a short promo of it from over on a website whose name I can't remember. Didn't really show much, but between that short promo and the article Flashjeff linked to, I'm pretty damn giddy right now.
