New and feel being challenged in Japan.

HI all,
I am brand new here and feel instantly relieved when I see the warmth here at jref.com
I am recently running some studies on customer service in Japan and found huge challenges of locating help in area outside Tokyo such as Sendai, Kawasaki, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Kobe.
can anyone help me by advising how I can find Japanese/ foreigners in the area above?
I have been trying for more than 1 month and obviously I am not doing it in a right way. Was so desperate that I even approached YMCA!!!! Oh my!

Interesting studies you are doing there in Japan. Did you try to use a phonebook called "Townpage"? You might find something in it. Or, if you can give us a little more detail, some of us might be able to help ya!
