Yea i'm new to this forum, but i've started playing initial d ver. 3 recently. I guess i been doin my homework on it for a little becuase i've found out that option D for the ae86 Trueno gets a Turbocharger at the end. Now i went and played and i've got my turbocharger with about 130000 points in my car, but i've only beaten the first or second person on a few stages. i've repeatedly played the weaker people over and over to get the points i needed. I NEED HELP ON DRIFTING!!!
My crappy concept of drifting:
i am in 4th gear and heading towards a corner. i turn slightly to the outside and turn into the corner. i tap or press the brake depending on the corner and speed, and i shift down. now my car starts to slide and i exit the corner like that and if i executed it correctly i shift up due to my RPMs.
Now i know this concept is flawed becuase i can't beat higher level guys even with my turbocharger. i would really appreciate some feedback on this.

...o and the only difference i can notice from the turbocharger is that it makes a *pshhh* sound when i shift up and my engine sounds a little different. but besides that i don't notice anything else. maybe i'm slow. would appreciate if someone could explain this.
