Need Help Translating Bronze Table Medal 1946

This bronze medal has a 54mm diameter and was dated 1946. I believe the two top left characters mean JAPAN. That's as far as I could get. The characters next to the baby chick are probably the company or maker's name. Thank you for any help you could provide.
