Need help translating another hanging scroll

Hi Majestic, one more to translate if you wouldn't mind. Thank you!

It's a phrase related to zen buddhism, and I can't get the meaning. It would take some time to decipher. Maybe @Toritoribe -san can help us.

It has the signature and seal of Ikkyū Sōjun (obviously there are many fakes, so tread cautiously).

I found another scroll with the same text (which is also supposed to be from Ikkyu). The text reads
報緣虛幻，不可強為。浮世幾何，隨家豐儉。苦樂逆順，道在其中。動靜寒溫，自愧自悔
They look like various idioms related to buddhism, but the language isn't easily understandable.
Yours may be a copy of this one. I can't quite make out the character under Ikkyu's name, but it could indicate the scroll is a copy. But the seal is one of Ikkyu's seals, so... who knows.

Or, not idioms, but some kind of couplets. It may originally be Chinese, because I see this same passage appearing on some Chinese websites. Ikkyu would have been trained in various Chinese literature.

My scroll is definitely a copy: Reflections of Priest Foyen, 15th century. Ikkyū Sōjun (Japanese, 1394-1481). Hanging scroll, ink on paper; Left by his mother at a small Zen temple in Kyoto at the age of six, Ikkyu later drew on his early studies and experiences for his writings, which focused on his keen interest in the Chinese classics. Poetry in particular was a favorite subject and images from classical poetry or passages from favorite poems or commentaries frequently provided Ikkyu with the core ideas for his own work.
