Need help - (possible) fledging love in Japan

Ok guys, here's a bit of a sad story -

I went out to a bar last night with a few people from work. The whole time I was exchanging glances with this girl a few tables away, who I thought just looked amazing. As the bar closed and everyone was leaving, I approached her and her friends and asked if they would accompany us to another bar we were going to. They came with us, and we ended up chatting a bit. The only thing is, that's where my courage ended, I never asked her for her number!! I'm so worried I'll never see her again!

Here's the thing, she works at the shinkansen bento shop at the city station. But, I'm a lowly ALT, I can't afford to buy a shinkansen ticket just to get in there to talk to her! (If she happens to be working at the time). Is there any way anyone knows of to get into the shinkansen area in a train station without a ticket?!!

It's a long shot I know.... :sorry:

The usual translation would be 'platform ticket.'
