The one I've heard most is
ばかばっか (bakabakka)
The first 'baka' is for stupid, the second is a slang version of 'bakari' meaning
'nothing but'.

This is my translation but I don't now if it is correct

the train leaving biyoro station and bound for the single track lane to horomai station passed through the line of towns, and for a little while runs parallel to the main line..

The kiha 12 train slowly catches up to the express resort train which has many windows like it is spending its like looking at the scenery..

Weather it was a diagram trick or for the benefit of the town skiers, the production of the red diesel train was on exhibition and the passenger side window of the train became heavy.

Soon, left of the horomai line is a diversion by a big curve, but until then there were flashes of cameras which could be seen from the window.

The train that leaves at 18:35 is the last one of the 3 trains that are bound for horomai station today

The glass-paneled resort express slowly passes a single car of type 12 Kiha Locomative as if in admiration.

ダイヤのいたずらか、

"Daiya" in this case does not mean "diagram".

It means more like a schedule of trains as a system as a whole, as used by the railways themselves. Passengers use a different word for train schedules.

That type of diagram is probably where the word ダイヤ originated from. But its definition now is a railway schedule in general. For example, "If there is an accident at so and so station, the ダイヤ for the west-bound trains from Osaka will be all fu__d up!" The Japanese rail systems try to run the trains precisely on schedule to the minute and it's all according to the ダイヤ.

Thus, "ダイヤのいたずらか" would mean "Did the rail schedule play a trick?"

or

would be better.

Although I guess I would have said

'a name I've never heard before' which sounds a little jokey in English but nothing terribly offensive.
