Need a word or phrase translated?

Image doesn't show.

Why did you wait to the last minute? You had time to hunt up a forum, create an account, make a photo, make a post....but no time to look it up yourself?

Thanks for the responseToritoribe, I have another listening question

0:52, what does he say 弁護はかり 勉強はかり, i cant really hear the word hes trying to say and i cant really tell by context either, I think he said bengo but that word was said pretty fast for me.

0:59 , この三百万の~~ what is said here? After does he say いっぷにつき? im not sure about the "ippu" part.

1:10 , whats the word the guy says? そんなこというなら、俺たちみんなこの船に折れるぞ not to sure about the verb but i think there trying to say they are all gonna leave if he keeps saying stuff like that.

235. 自分の胸はり?? Yeah just not too sure about this over all, also what does he say right after "something ならば"

1)
便宜を図り

2)
この三百万の貸付金、一分につき

3)
俺たちみんなこの船降りるぞ

4)
自分の胸に貼る。あいこ(=相子)ならば

貸付金 and 借金 mean the same thing right? lol when i looked up the first word I remember learning 借金 which had a similar meaning.

Money loaned and money borrowed. Not quite exactly the same thing.

thnx i read the japanese definition too fast and i misunderstood lol.

The very different nature of 貸 and 借 in the words themselves shouldn't be overlooked as clues.

I know throbbing pain, dull pain, and sharp pain...

...but how do you translate "burning pain"? Maybe one of these?

灼けつく痛み

灼熱痛

Thanks in advance!

Yeah your right lol those are kanji from some basic verbs, I should have looked at the kanji and realized something didn't add up

@johnnyG

ような is reasonably flexible in these situations (presuming you don't mean literal burns but a "burning feeling").

(頭/胃/足が)(焼ける/燃える)ような痛み

Fairly simple translation request.
"Ah that's unfortunate, better luck next time. Thanks anyways."

Context of the conversation is that I asked a cosplayer if they would be attending an event and if I could get an autograph, unfortunately they will not be attending.

What is your translation? Are you talking politely or friendly with them?

@chamaro 私はアメリカからのファンです。そして、私は初めてコミケに行くことになっています。もし、ちゃまろさんもコミケに行くなら、どうかその時サインをいただけませんか。

@_verbalessence 残念ながら今回はコミケに行かない予定です。ごめんなさい。またの機会がありましたら、是非会いに来てください!

Talking politely.

I got something along the lines of:
それは避けられない。次はきっとうまくいきますよ。

Trying to keep it casual, don't know how to say something along the lines of "Oh well" and "Thanks anyways"

Hello,
I have a low resolution picture, and 2 words. (Above AKITA)

Just for confirmation, did you translate the first three lines by yourself?

kakushigoto
secret

That's a single word.

No, I did not translate the first three lines by myself, I had help with those.
The only part that I managed to translate was:
それは避けられない。次はきっとうまくいきますよ。

I see.

それは残念。次の機会にはぜひお願いします。楽しみにしてますので。

次はきっとうまくいきますよ。 means more likely "I'm sure you can do well next time."

Hey there, the following line is from a manga about music. This guy just got on stage and is just about to perform, but I have no idea what ライブジャック means and I can't seem to find it in any dictionary. I thought he was talking about whether or not his guitar his jacked in, but that doesn't seem to be it I think.

それじゃライブジャックじゃねぇか!!

You guys dont have to download this, but im watching this
( you wont find it online its new)

but theres this one part I really dont know what the sensei is saying, the scenario is they are going to the sentou, and the sensei says this to her younger sister

2:15 あなたが遊びに来る(something said here i think like yori or nari im not sure)お風呂を故障( is this the right verb i am hearing? i heard something koshou or koushou, what makes sense here?)するなんて、なんか不吉だな
her little sister responds
まあまあ,たまに銭湯はいいじゃないお姉ちゃん

I also am having trouble hearing what the little says right after this.. but I cant even make out what the first word is.

After watching more later on in the episode they say something like
故障浴場 こうしょうよくじょう i think,,. im not sure if this makes sense even

hijacking of the concert

Since ハイジャック is misinterpreted as "high + jack" in Japan, ジャック is treated as a word to mean "hijacking", e.g. バスジャック, トレインジャック, シージャック.

I found a new posted version online.

In the beginning 10 sec what does he say after うちの

2:17: What is the verb 故障する?

2:27 : What does the girl say after saying まあまあ,たまに銭湯はいいじゃないお姉ちゃん?

The rest of the episode is pretty straightforward to undertand

うちの風呂が故障するとはなあ

あなたが遊びに来るなりお風呂故障するなんて、なんか不吉だ

まあまあ、たまに銭湯いいじゃない、お姉ちゃん。梅の湯(a proper noun; the name of the sentō they are going to)さあ、最近改装してきれいになったっていうし。

Yes for the former question and no for the latter. She said "Ume no yu" with the average rate of speech.
