Haven't you seen expressions such like 一仕事, 一工夫 or 一ひねり? 一 means "(a) little/small" in this case. 暴れ is the noun usage of the -masu stem of 暴れる, i.e., it's more likely a noun rather than a verb.Thanks!
But I'm still not sure what it means, especially the 2nd line. And I'm unfamiliar with 一 being used like that before a verb.

I think 暴れ could also refer to him getting violent.
うちに just means "while", as I wrote. It doesn't imply "in order to stay king for another year".
