Maybe this is a stupid question, but what is an OB, as in this headline? Is it a short form of an english word?

It's from an article some days ago I think is about a 22-year old who got slapped by the 77-year old guest instructor at a university karate club and kicked him in the face with a roundkick so hard he died. Sad story.

Another newspaper related question. When police departments are giving statements the word 幹部 is frequently used. Like, after the patrolling officers arrested someone, the 幹部 will then give an official statement. What exactly does this refer to? Is it police chiefs/high ranking officers in person or is it a written report by a secretary to a department leader, or is it a spokesperson making these official statements on behalf of the leadership?
In this particular case, it was 幹部ら, making it more vague to me who these people are. Anyway, I interpret it as a press release which could both be written or made by a representative in person, like a telegram or a press conference thing, unspecified.

幹部 just refers to the people heading up the case and is not a specific title or rank.

No, I wasn't. I think it works a lot better in English than Japanese due to a larger phonemic inventory and a tendency for words to be fully absorbed into the language, and not appear foreign after a while. With Japanese they make sure that doesn't happen by using katakana or romaji. But maybe it works just fine from a Japanese perspective. But for me as a native English speaker it just looks like bad English.

This is from a short story I'm reading.
The context is, from what I can tell, that some Yakuza guy says this to a woman, after she seduced and provoked him. He then steals a kiss from her.

I've pretty sure it's an insult, but I can't find anything about this online.
Does this mean something like, "You dirty sl*t! Here I go (that's what you get)"?

～（ん）ぼ（う） is a suffix, meaning "a person of ~".
e.g.
あわてんぼう（慌てん坊）: scatterbrain

The そうそう in this sentence isn't perfectly understood by me.

I'm guessing either this might be そうそう as in "not so much", "(well they're good) but you can't rely on them that much" etc...

Or possibly expressing speed, kind of something like "but, you can't expect their help just like that (can't rely on them immediately etc)". Although they are proving capable, they still have to travel to get there etc... Therefore not so reliable the exact moment you need them.

Oh, sorry.

He's talking about a game, specifically, one of its multiple endings. So, ED would be ending. And [改変] is the name of the ending, I think.
