I'm not sure how to properly understand this sentence because of "とは".

"Anyway, the road that the horses take[to ha particle], because a single thicket is distant."

If I knew exacty what the particles were saying I would probably have a better understanding of the meaning and not have such an extremely rough translation. I would appreciate any help on this.

Right. One of the rules is that ので is hardly used with strong "mood" like order, volition, invitation in the sentence end. In the examples below, から sounds more natural to me.

Also, ので can't be used with the guess form ～だろう.

The translation is: "After all, there was a thicket separating it("it" is a certain area of land) from the road that horses use."

The word "separating" and 隔たっておりますare both different in their meaning so that throws me off a bit.

If you can't find any other way of explaining the usage of "to ha" here, could you provide an extra example or two of it being used?

The meaning of 隔たって here is probably that of "間に物があって遮られる" (dictionary definition). There is a thicket (薮一つ) between the 馬の通う路 and the other place.

I think this is the same とは as in something like いつもとは違う . This とは often goes with "separation/difference" type terms like 何々とは差がある、何々とは異なる、何々とは離れる

As nekojita-san explained perfectly, you can think とは separately like "と + は".
e.g.
彼の家は銀行と（は）川で隔てられている。
彼の家と銀行（と）は川で隔てられている。

The sentences above are almost same. The difference is the point where the speaker focuses on.(The former is mainly on 彼の家, whereas the latter is equally on both 彼の家 and 銀行.)

In these days, 隔てられている is more commonly used for "間に物があって遮られる". 隔たる/隔たっている sounds a bit old-fashioned for the meaning, but is still used for "間に距離があって離れる。また、距離ができて 離れる。遠ざかる".
e.g.
彼の家は銀行と（は）一区画分隔たっている。
彼の家と銀行（と）は一区画分隔たっている。

Thats the college, I called them up, and I said [In english] "English assisstance please" And the man didn't know what to say, And i tryed my best to compensate for it with the knowledge that i know in japanese, And yet, i failed horrible. Thus, why i comed here.
