Kan is only grammatically essential for number of hours, weeks, months (ikkagetsu - one month, not January) and years but recommended for days (mikkakan - 3 days, not mikka).

Yeah thats what i was thinking kan changing the numerical value to represent a period of that value 三日 day 3 or 3rd day 3rd to change to 三日間 period of 3 days. でしょう？

Yeah am familiar with counting months to know you don't want to use kan to specify several months. or would you?

三が月 （さんがげつ）= ３Months
三月 （さんがつ）＝ March

This may be a typo, but I just want to point out that:

3 months is "san-ka-getsu" （三ヶ月）
It's "ka" for all number of months. "Ikka-getsu," "nika-getsu," etc.

To my knowledge, そして is "and" and is used mostly at the beginning of a sentence.

The first line he's counting members in his family. There are five -- parents, an older brother, younger sister, and him. The last he's saying his younger sister is 14 and still in junior high.

I'm guessing this should be りょうしん (両親 - both parents).

りようりがへたです。

This should be りょうり (料理 - cooking/cuisine/etc.).

ちちはゴルワがだいすきです。

This should be ゴルフ (golf).

あにはにじゆうごさいです。

This should be にじゅうごさい (二十五歳 - twenty-five years old).

いもうとはじゅうよんさいで。 まだちゅうがくせいです。

And somehow these made it OK. For a little while I thought I was reading old orthography.

It looks like "do you remember your first memory?" which just seems like a strange sentence. I would think that you would have to remember your first memory, otherwise it wouldn't be your first, but maybe that's just me.

Although this could be referring to a series of memories or recollections as they have been transmitted to you, that are not your own....or perhaps your own but have been buried from you. 私の記憶が怪しくなっているのだろうか :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes, it is. It is strange in Japanese, probably because it is taken out of context. As Elizabeth suggested, it may refer to the "first part" of some recollection or a series of recollections.

(note there's no period after 十四歳 -- 「で」 is a connector)
"My little sister is fourteen years old; she's still in junior high school."

「まだ」 is "still" -- don't confuse this with 「また」, which is a completely different word.
