Actually, "motomecha ikenai" is a contraction of "motomete ha ikenai", although your translation is correct. "Must" is expressed by either "-nakute ha ikenai/naranai" or "-nakereba ikenai", which are contracted to "-nakucha" "-nakya", respectively.
