I'm not sure what part is giving you trouble, but, it looks to me like it reads,

"I just looked this up and realized for the first time that Cyprus is in a difficult position with the country being split between north and south. I'm getting a bit more interested in Cyprus. "

How about just "フリはやめて(よ) " for the ふり（を）しないで part ??

It's just a straightforward double-negative, cancelling out in straightforward fashion.

= cancel the negatives =>
"It's a matter than can be seen as water torture."
= more naturally =>

What do you mean by "Cannibal"? Is it a general adjective or a proper noun such like the name of a school?

I would say "What Madara did all those years ago... was it like this?". Sasuke just exercised a skill/an ability at that moment. He didn't fight with the enemy yet.

Now, I know that first bit is "Everyone, be careful..." but what about that second phrase?

It seems to me that he's saying the subject is here to pick a fight with them but how does that メチャクチャな理屈 fit into things? How would the phrase be translated?

For context, this line is said by a character to his friends, when a man who's already ambushed him twice (alone and without an explanation why) shows up in front of everyone looking for a fight.

Hi Toritoribe, thanks for asking. I mean that they are nuns that are cannibals. I think it is an adjective in my sentence, the same way you might say "Hungry Nuns", or "Large nuns". I hope that helps.
