First is ノーミソ, I can find this used in a billion blogs and such, and I deemed this Japanese net slang for the moment... Does anyone know the meaning for it?

Secondly is just CP in the middle of Japanese text. It could be Control Panel in some places, but that wouldn't make the least sense translated here... An example:

Standard Japanese words are frequently written in katakana for emphasis, suggestion that a speaker is imitating a Westerner, etc.

CP can be anything from "commercial paper" to "control panel"...
Among anime otakus, CP is used to mean "couple" or "coupling", i.e., one person becoming gf/bf of another.
There may a lot more uses of CP, especially if it is otaku jargon. That's all I know... :sorry:

Meaning of 朝日影

Does 朝日影 (asa hikage) mean "morning sunlight" (as suggested by WWWJDIC) or "morning shade" (as suggested by my Random House dictionary)? If 日影 (hikage) is shade, I would imagine that my dictionary is right―and WWWJDIC wrong?!―but it could be idiomatic usage. Thanks for any help.

It's "asahi" as in Asahi Shimbun.
The only usage of "asahikage" I've seen is in a poem in the Manyoshu. I think current usage is based on the Manyoshu and other sources of traditional poetry.

The beer brewer was established in the Meiji Period as 朝日麦酒 and changed its name to katakana in 1989. (Useless trivia from a trivia freak... )

Sorry for the confusion. I was remembering it as 旭、which is of course the full name, Asahi.

But the first character is usually pronounced like "bi" not "Mee". But Japanese can understand what you mean.

This is just a wild guess, but considering that the family name of the dojo in the anime is Kamiya, I think you are hearing "Kamiya-ryu" which means Kamiya style or Kamiya school of swordsmanship.

日本語では、物の言い方にルールはない方が多いと思います。

多分[はち」は名前の場合以外は、別々に「に・はち・が・いない」とういう
風に使う場合もないんですね。
