Movies I Hated, Everyone Else Loved

Waterlady

Hello there,
It would be Water lady... I loved that movie very much every other was blaming Manoj N Shyamalan.

Yes I agree with him. There are couple of who i hate them and peoples like them . For example I hate SAW when i start seen it and my friends like it , Now the 4th series of SAW in market these days.

borat....
there are some things that should just never be put on film.
Way too much stupidity, nudity and downright rudeness.

have to agree here. that was THE dumbest movie i have ever watched. i don't see why some people like it. :(

I'll agree on Borat. Aside from the fact that's it's a flatly ignorant movie, the endless promotion in the U.S. around its release aired practically the entire film on TV. I've had the entire thing shoved in my face; why do I need to visit a theater, again.

Additionally: I think that The Dark Knight was a good movie, but I don't think it was the apex of cinema everyone seems to claim.

Anchorman. My peers adore that movie and can quote most of it. Yet I just don't get the humor behind it.

Napoleon Dynamite I do like despite the harsh things I've seen written about it already. I'm still wondering who these alleged people are whom actually like this movie? Cause I've never met any of them. I enjoy it because I find the characters funny in their social ineptness. They aspire for small victories and it's fun to see them awkwardly make their mark. I guess the film just draws out the inner-nerd in me. If that makes me an idiot by Faustianideals' standards, then so be it.

Erm... I did not like "Lost in Transation", either. At all. I got what it was trying to say, mostly, but still.

The majority of Disney sequels (I have kids... there was no choice in the matter) *except* for Lion King 1 1/2!

American Beauty. Don't care if it means that I "suck".. It "sucked" too...

There were also movies that I've refused to watched just because of how I disliked the trailer.. but that's another topic...

Man on the Moon. It was a tribute, yes, but... *shivers and cringes*

Terminator movies. Alien (and all of its sequels). Star Trek movies (Except Wrath of Khan and First Contact).

The (latest) Hulk movies. All of the X-Men movies (except the first). All of the Spiderman movies.

The rest of the movies mentioned before this post, I've either never watched or never heard of.

I've just.. really lost confidence in a great deal of American movie-making..

Star Wars Episode I, II, and III
All the Matrix movies.
I have to agree about the Spiderman movies.
Pearl Harbor was just retarded.

Can't think of anything else at the moment, but give me time, I will think of more.

We generally try not to watch movies unless we think we will like them, so I don't have anything that really fits the question. The closest I can come is a movie that is generally praised quite highly, but which I thought was medium good, but not as great as most people seem to think it is...Singin' In The Rain.

Aw I hated Green Street Hooligans, while everyone else said it was their fav, LOTR films, Brave Heart
ohh there are so many of them :O

i just hate spiderman it's damn boring but i disagree abt titanic i can just watch it over and over without getting bored that's just my opinion.

Transformers: Rise of the Fallen

I hated this movie so bad, I had to stop watching it halfway through. I found myself starting to look for a sharp object to stab my eyes out.

Bridget Jones Diary.
Twilight.
New Moon.
Hulk.
Well I know that everyone around me got pissy with me for hating the above... not so much on Hulk but everyone was like "Bridge Jones was fun!"
I was rather like "Yeah it's the most boring movie ever" -> please tell me I'm not the only one like that

For Twilight and New Moon, you don't even want to know the hell I had to go through for voicing my honest opinions. Part of it was cool, but 99% sucked.

Will somebody kill me if I say Ponyo? :shiver:

I know someone WILL vandalize my Pizza joint if I say DO THE RIGHT THING. 😊

Clash of the Titans (2010)

I put the year down, because the truth is that I really like the old one. This new one is too much action too quickly and it gets boring after a while when its nonstop. Not to mention that they tried to make Zeus too much like the Christian god, Hades into Satan for my tastes. I loved the bickering and oneupsmanship among the gods in the original movie. This one wasn't like that at all.

Transformers
Transformers:Rise of the Fallen

Michael Bay thought he could throw in special effects for the bulk of the movie and expect everyone to love it. As a film student, I felt somewhat disrespected by that. The movie had minimal depth. BTW i can't seem to take Megan Fox seriously as an actress.

Twilight
Vampires are meant to burn up and char from sun, not glam up and sparkle.
