Has anyone tried Microsofts version of a spyware remover.I do suspect that this is a new "feature" that will be in LongHorn.Along with the rumored virus scanner. This should be quite interesting to see what bugs or should i say HOLES appear in the software this time.Tell then adieu

Seems (read it yesterday), it has the feature of not recognizing tracking cookies, unlike Spybot & Ad-aware. But even if it would be as good as those 2 I'd still prefer these.

I USE & LOVE ......

Spybot & AdAware, pretty good for free things. The story of Spybot's "DSO" thing is interesting9A lot about it on Google).Microsoft's rep with program bugs & leaks would make me fear a Beta program.

well with all considered,it seems as though the notion of "free updates" is a idea of the past.As of now i believe you must pay for such updates, which undermines any attempt Microsoft wants to make in getting this out.Well cookies being a more common way to add spyware to ones computer,i can see why Microsoft is staying away from them,at least in a beta version of the program. As for Franks comment on the lovebugs of Microsoft,Here here mate, cheers.Tell then adieu
