Sure my friend, mine, I received the notification last May 30 that I have been officially selected by MEXT as a recipient and they will be sending me the procedures around mid-July. I am just wondering and confused right now because @Tepanyakigo and @sakakinis already received their parcels. Maybe it is really different process per university. @hnlYes, I am. And you are under general category, right? May I ask about your process after your official result came out, i.e your visa, flight plan... ?

First thing: the professor sent me an email to I a also praying me for wining the MEXT scholarship(May 30)
Second: the Graduate School of Engineering , Nagoya University contacted me and sent me a guideline document and a pledge to sign and send it via airmail before June 20.
the guideline explains the required procedures for entrance of Nagoya University. (the date that i am gonna receive the letter of acceptance, the date to contact the Japanese embassy, the period that i am allowed to come to Japan to(between September 19 and October 13) and and the they informed me they will send the air ticket soon, and also when i am gonna get my first stipend from MEXT)
PS: -They didn't say anything about the certificate of MEXT scholarship but i think it will arrive after, because the letter of acceptance is the one that i am gonna use to get the visa.
-They will email me later about my housing and arrival schedule.
-I didn't receive any document by airmail yet, the pledge and the guideline documents were sent by mail to me.
I said everything regarding the preparations before arriving to Japan. I hope this will help.

In January I got acceptance from University. They asked me to rewwrite application form for Mext. They also asked about embassy I will take visa and airport I will departure. Everything make me very hopeful about scholarship.

According to the blogs I've read, PGP nominees always get the scholarship since the university nominate exact number of applicants for these specific courses. But I'm not sure since I, too, am anxious on what will happen.

May be they will give allowance for both month if they delay. However i think need prepare in advance.yes, the long wait... By the way, have you seen the note that we need to bring extra money as the allowance might be delayed for our first month?
