Hi There,
I have been accepted as a research student for MEXT, and have some questions regarding the progression from Research Student - Master's Student - Doctoral Student.
1 ) On my application, I stated that I wish to progress all the way to PhD during my studies. But my question is, must I apply for the masters course that I mentioned in my research proposal? Or, if my supervisor agrees, is it okay to apply for a different course within the same department?
2 ) Is it possible to transfer university between masters and PhD?
