Looking for Japanese Dictonary?

Hi I'm looking for a dictornary to help when I'm reading texts, say for when I come across a word I dont know. A the moment I have a kanji dictonary, but its usless for looking up specific words.
I'm preferably looking for something in furigana, u know with both kanji and kana. Using the kana to search for the word, while also helping me to learn new kanji and words.
"P.G.O'Neill - Essential Kanji" is the Kanji dictonary I have, its pretty good for learning the kanji and is a secent size. So could somebody give me some sugestions of books to check out!

I have it... it's pretty awesome.

Yeah I saw that one but its like £50, I'm looking for something more in the £10-15 region. Something fairly small as well.

If you find one in that price range, let me know! A smaller one would be nice. This one is pretty much a brick.

lol, I love my kanji dictonary. Its just the right size, pitty its usless if you want to use it look up words

I would definitely go for a Kodansha furigana dictionary. I think there are both one version with japanese-english and english-japanese combined, and also a pair of dictionaries with these functions separate, which is good if you only want to carry one of them with you and care about weight.
Personally I think the English->Japanese direction is most useful because of the guidance provided to choose the correct expression. There are already excellent online resources for the Japanese->English direction (eg. Jisho.org: Japanese Dictionary).

I see that you already have a kanji dictionary. Nevertheless I can really recommend "New Japanese-English Character Dictionary" by Jack Halpern (some info here). It orders meaning psychologically and is also a really good kanji synonym dictionary.
