Well, seeing that it'll be July 4th in the US when the room opens tomorrow (though it'll be the morning of the 5th in japan), we propbably won't get too many people.

If I were in the US, I would just stay home and spend my 4th chatting online but there are those who'd rather go out and celebrate... Anyway, I WILL open the room and see if anyone shows up. We have had people from Europe and Asia join us so maybe they will come.
 
Sorry, won't be able to make it, spending the night with friends downtown. Maybe next week.

The Problem is that All middle East countries are not allowed to enter to any other rooms but in Middle East only >_<"
if you want to enter you have to color your nickname,so you have to pay !
i did it once and i was able to enter to JREF room.

BTW, there are other interesting chatrooms, too. I've found a very friendly Japanese language teaching chatroom run by a Japanese man. Good learning experience and productive. Held in the mornings of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Japan time), which should be quite convenient for those in the US and Europe. This is in the Learning Different Languages section. Chatroom name is "Speak Simple Japanese Use Your Mic," I think.
This section has other Japanese language learning chatrooms that open randomly, too.

If you have any interest in Japanese "oldies" music, join Pachipro's Japanese Enka and Oldies chatroom open tonight (late Friday night, Japan time)--open "almost" every week. I try to be there as often as I can! :-)

Please check the World Clock to check your local time against Japan time!

haha,it's Racism because the most users are from Middle East and you know they are rich so they have to pay,also the prises are expensive...

I have no idea what Teamspeak and Ventrilo are like. Can you give us more info?

Paltalk is OK as it is, except that we can't type in Japanese. Any text communication in Japanese must be in romaji, which is extremely troublesome to read.

If any of the two is better in this respect, I think it's something that should be considered...
 
I will look into those two. I am OK with Paltalk but I don't like the fact it is only free for some, which I was not aware of.
 
it's ok for JREF since people from middle east are few here ^^

We were gonna go on a Fishing trip to Corpus Christi (Padre Islands) this weekend, but my husband couldn't find anyone to cover for his workday, plus he broke his toe this morning (!!!)...
