My opinion on Japanese women:
1) Japanese women are first and foremost women.
2) I don't understand women.
Therefore,
I don't understand Japanese women.
Incidentally, you can replace the above "Japanese" with any classifier for women, and you basically get the same result.

Pardon my rudeness, I apologize in advance...
Ghettocities, it's people like you that give gaijin a bad rep. I believe Tokyo is a lot different than the rest of Japan. Sitting in Tokyo for your trips roaming around partying with a bunch of Harujuku girls is not the ENTIRE Japanese population. That is absurd to label every Japanese woman as obsessed with white guys. Your statements hold no merit in my opinion, as you're contradicting yourself. You say you're trying to stop the white gaijin from hopping on a plane for a weekend and sleeping with some gaijin obsessed Japanese girl, but isn't that just what you're doing? Don't give the guys that want to experience the beauty of Japan, and everything it holds, a bad rep because you want to get drunk and go run around snapping candid photos of couples. Regardless of what race they are, that's extremely rude.
Also, don't start saying you're some messenger from God please. I'm not going to argue Religion with you, but do you really believe it's God's plan for you to get drunk and sleep around in Japan? Go read the bible again please. I'm not trying to be a preacher, but your argument is void.

My wife had 8 boyfriends and 1 fiancee before she married me. She was with the guy before me for 8 years before they split up. All of which were Japanese men.
My wife now, had a love at first sight thing going. Not because I'm white, just because I was a cool guy to do things with. My friend had to help me meet her. I wasn't the type to go up to a girl and just start talking. Neither was she.
All I can say is, I don't think she went after me because I was white, blonde hair, etc.
What Japanese female do you know would give a up a Government Officer position with a RN Nurses license with 7 years on the job @ Chubu Hospital?

I don't get what the big deal is. There will always be some Japanese women who will be interested in dating foreigners more. The same goes for men; there are those who are nuts over foreign, white women. I personally know a native Japanese guy who flew to the States for the first time, just to pick up some white blonde back to Japan. She now lives with him in Japan.
It's odd to assume that the stated stereotype is true just because a minority enforces it. Some posters here are living in their own fantasies that fit with their inflated egos, just because they happen to seek such women in cliques. Little is also said about the quality of such relationships and such people.
It's a fact that most people would naturally like to seek their own race when it comes to relationships, because of everyday familiarity and cultural compatibility. It's only when it comes to money, status and their own family backgrounds that there will be exceptions. Indeed (and having been to Japan numerous times), I'm aware that most Japanese would like to stick with their race just like any other race would do. So, to the OP: yes, such statements are myths.

I just want to through out the fact that Some Japanese women prefer foreign b/c of the difference in culture. Japanese men are not at out going as foreign men are. That whole generalization thing you know.....Anyway I have met a few Japanese women who were genuine but just did not like the way Japanese men presented themselves. Not neccessarily "Gaijin Hunting" it's just preference.
