Really? That's something I haven't heard haha. I have a friend that was contacted by their school even before the embassy contacted him about the scholarship. This was Nanzan, I believe? MEXT was really late with reporting back to the embassies that year though. They hadn't been given any information and it was around August. I heard Sophia University contacts once they've accepted you.

In india there is no update about secind screening result . They said mext is yet to send them results . Anyone here who is waiting for 2nd Screenng results?

Hello guys I am from India. I am still waiting for the results of the second screening. I heard that many of you got a letter confirming your scholarship ( but not your university ). I have already been selected from my country ( The first screening) in the earlier screening. Is there anyone else waiting for their confirmation? I heard it comes near the end of june, but it still hasn't come

As for the waiting, I heard that gettin it in early July is still not strange at all. If you have any doubts then feel free to contact your embassy. In my country the embassy was really helpful and answered every single question.

And sorry we will definitely stick to English By the way where do you come from? Did you get selected? We called the embassy but they replied that they themselves have not still got the final result from mext....And it came out this ti,e last year, but they even said this year it has gotten a bit slow..

I'm not sure about the university acceptance. I at least haven't got it yet and I think they usually decide the university around August.

Did you get 2 separate mails letting you know your selections in the first and second screening respectively? And btw how many of those selected in the first screening got rejected in the second one? Any idea?

Do you know how many people who got selected in the 1st screening got rejected in the selected screening? I heard getting selected in the 1st one gives you a pretty good chance of winning the scholarship.

I don't know any details about how many people got rejected in the 2nd screening but I heard that very little. Everyone at my university told me that I basically got the scholarship when I passed the first screening (I'm talking about the lecturers, who observe their students year by year as they apply for this).
I got an e-mail after every single exam with the results, one when they informed me that I passed the second screening, and they will send another one later with the destination because the selection of the university is handled seperately.

I applied for Oosaka daigaku, Kyouto daigaku and Hiroshima daigaku

Osaka university takes time to contact their students.last year friend of mine got mail from osaka University in early august
