Japanese Right Wing Group Attack On Chinese Consulate In Osaka.

Followup

2 Arrested over Crashing Bus into Consulate's Gate (Yomiuri)
Police arrested two members of an Osaka-based right-wing political group Tuesday on suspicion of crashing a bus into a steel gate at the Chinese Consulate General building in Nishi Ward, Osaka, in April.

Kanemori Ko, 40, chairman of Seirankai, a branch of the political group Nihon Kominto, and Takehiko Kuriyama, 38, a member of the group, were arrested.
I thought Koreans told Japanese media not to address them in Japanese pronunciation, so, Ko Jong-su is perhaps the appropreate spell for 高鐘守 rather than Kanemori Ko.

Now what kind of "ultra-nationalist" group is it, led by a Korean citizen? Is Kominto the only organization like that, or is there any real rightist group there solely by Japanese, besides Nihon Seinensha which is backed by Sumiyoshi-kai.

The Japanese government apologized to China right after the incident.

China and Japan have a love-hate relationship! :D

Politics and economy always go hand in hand. China窶冱 economy is growing rapidly. No, no, no, Japan does not wish any bad luck on the Chinese economy. Instead, the J-government voluntarily offers ODA (loans) to China. It is because Japan窶冱 economic recovery has a lot to do with China窶冱 growth too.

According to the World Bank, Japan's benefit by China's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be $61 billion by 2005, much larger than that of North America, which is $38 billion.

Japan窶冱 export to China has been growing in double digit in recent years. Japan imports scallions, mushrooms, taros and other agricultural and cheap convenience goods from China while exporting washers, vehicles, jackhammers and other industrial instruments to China. How many garlics China has to export in order to even out one bulldozer imported from Japan?

It doesn窶冲 take an economist to do the math here!:p

Some Chinese Will Be Real Happy !

The ones who hate the Japanese will have more fuel to flame their hatred! We haven't had any rabid anti-Japanese posts since we got rid of jim83 & a few others.
Sure would be nice if people could let go of hate; make the world a better, safer place!

Frank

Idiotic ultra nationalists.

Well, at least the government apologized to China. I was surprised that they did. Disgraces to the conservative cause such as Tokyou Governor Isihara could not prevent it in the end.

I was thinking the same thing? What kind of a right-wing group is it that is led by a Korean, the same race that the right-wing wants to subjugate and wipe out?

Like I've always said, I don't hate the Japanese, but ramming a vehicle into the Chinese consulate is just another sign of anti-Chinese sentiments. A bit weird that it was led by a Korean though. :?

Guys, let me tell you something. Many of the other Asian nations (in East Asia, the exception is Taiwan) in East Asia seem to think that this right-wing movement is popular, and that most Japanese are sympathetic to them. These right-wingers are made up of about less than 5% of the populace. The major conservative, right-wing parties are pretty much to the center, so don't think that these right-wingers are Japanese. Only a small minority.

When I read that this right wing group was led by a Korean, I thought it was a bit weird. Koreans in general who live in Japan tend to be leftist (i.e., socialist) and some even support the North Korean regime. I guess, the Korean guy must be one rich son of a gun. ☝

Yesterday, I saw buses of japanese nationalists with music blaring in louadspeakers passing near Tokyo station. The music was so loud that people inside cafes and offices all came looking at the window what was going out (although I am sure they have seen them passing before, as it is already the 4th time in 3 years for me).

They are called the 菊青同 (not sure how to read it "kikuseidou" ?). Here are some pictures I found on the web

They must be seen as annoying by most Japanese, most likely. Has anyone seen the website of the Japan Nazi Party? I think they are just seen as disillusional romantiscists (sp?) and annoying, rather than revered.

I think they are just like KKK here.......but are they as dangerous as KKK?

No. Not at all. The right-wingers bark is louder than their bite. They have their loudspeakers and are going around the city all day, but they have rarely attacked someone. if they have, it was a true radical, a member of the Social Democrats, Communists, and only recently the Democrat Party. They've never attacked the Liberal Democrats.

Who's brutal? A handful of people? Yeah, you can use that right-wing minority to judge an entire country's people.

The Chinese nationalist problem on Jref has been increasing lately. Japan bashers like jim83 and now this guy join at a JAPANESE message board and discuss their hatred for Japan. -_-'
