orange range is good....i listen to them....

beat ball | oh yeah r faster beat songs
hana | sp thanx r slower songs

those r the only songs i can think of on the top of my head right now....mind isnt working right now but almost every song by OR is nice...

OMG, you guys ! You left out Home made kazoku !!! They're one of my favourite bands ! 🙂

Also UVERworld, they are GREAT! 👍

I didn't see any BOA either and she's one of my favs. Ha ha. Gackt is also pretty pop, despite what you might read. If you're into pop you'll thoughouly enjoy him. And I suppose TMRevolution deserves a nod as well... :?

As for what songs I'd guess I'd put myvoye in for "Sakura Drops" by Utada Hikaru, "Kisaki" "Everything needs Love", "Be the One" and "Te Meaning of Peace" by BOA should be a good start.

BoA is korean though she sings japanese hehe so I didn't include :sorry: ah yeah i forgot T.M.Revolution :(

ah RockLee san, do you have some songs by UVERworld i can sample :? I've heard of them many times

Yeah, sometimes its a little hard to peg which cat. BOA goes in. She sings pretty darn well in english now a days too.

And seeing as how were on the topic....

Korean pop might be a good thing for you to check out as well MrsAmberface. Groups like Baby Vox might be just up your ally.

Kpop..does dong bang shin ki and the trax count :? i know rain is very popular..but his music is not my cup of tea.

Haha, rika you're cute!!! Thank you all so much for the lists and the help yall rock!!!!!!!:-) 😄

glad i could help a little bit ~ 😌 cute :? ahhaha.thanx~

oh. there is Globe and also Move too but i guess they are not really jpop, more techno

move is cool T_T doesnt move sing blazin beat? the theme song for initial d? [AWSOME ANIME BY THE WAYYYYYYYY F#@GY$@#GH$#YH#$H *gets hyper*] anyways trying to stay on topic....move is cool....lol

the initial d theme song
move - Blazin beat (tv version)
No links, use PM or something like that :)
oh yeah...if u watch anime.....bleach's theme song is Asterisk by orange range...if u wanted to know how they sound like

Last edited by a moderator:
wasn't the theme Song "Dogfight" by move?

anyway too add some jpop:
Otsuka Ai
W (Now Split up though)
The back Horn (a mix of rock and pop)

actually move does most of the theme songs for initial d. around the world, rage your dream, rock it down, over drive, past days, take me higher, blazin' beat and um.. many more. 😊

out of them all, i think the song that i like would be um.. Nobody Reason from 4th stage

yeah bleach ~! great anime, love it! :-)

It seems recently theres really been a move to put jpop with anime.

Bleach, Initial D, Serial Experiments Lain, Inu Yasha, Full Metal Alchimist...um.....thats all I can think of lol Any body know of some others? Whatever the number its at a growing increase.

lol its like that for many animes. Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, hikaru no go, gundam, one piece, tennis no oujisama, they choose really famous songs for the anime, and a song getting choosed to be in an anime will make the artist even more popular ☝

i guess there is jrock too although very little. Dir en grey's Child prey is a good example. It was the theme for baki the grappler..

Oh yeah. lol I was trying to avoid that last one. It did get a little annoying sometimes when I was at work and a bunch of 13 year olds would come in and proclaim to be the biggest jrock fans of all time and would only know the songs that had been released with the anime.

Them : wow! Thats Kyo from Dire in gray!

Me : Yep! :-) You like their music?

Them : Yeah that was a really great anime. We just LOVE that guy!

Me : Uh....😌 you mean Kyo? You know they have more than that one song right?

Them : yeah, but the anime music is better.

Ah, well. However they get into it. I guess anime is a huge stepping stone for a lot of people. I know it was for me to a lesser degree.

i know. i was not too happy(if you're thinking the same thing as me) when i heard it at first ┐(´д`;)┌ but maybe i need to look at it by another point of view.. (;´д`)ゞ

Yeah I keep trying to tell myself that things look different when youre 13 but it still does rub a little bit. *grits teeth* like when I see a flock of them go by and they pronounce it as "Dire in Gray" or say Hide's name like Hyde's. :box: Or the grand daddy of them all : "malice MYzer" as opposed to "mailce MEzer". I still know somebody who says Mana's name MAN-ah :(

I asked this and got a list. One of them was a group called Paris Match. They seem to be a jazz type of band and quite relaxing music to listen to. I do have a few Puffy CDs as well. They like to mix thier music styles. Also known as Puffy AmiYumi. They added the AmiYumi when they started in the US to avoid confusion with Puff Daddy or whatever the hell he calls himself now.

you can also listen too some online jrock/pop/anime radio,
just google it :-)

the play a lot of song you might not have heard yet

Okay maybe my list can even help you more. Not sure tho, maybe mine contains the same as above.

Kinki Kids
Ayumi Hamasaki
Utada Hikaru
Ozaki Yutaka
BOA (korean)
The Trax (Korean)
RIKKU
Gackt
W-inds
Orange Range (can be popish)
Watta
Morning Musume
(Check all the other groups in the Hello! Project)

Heh, not too much into pop. I only like The Trax, W-inds and some of Gackt's music. :-)

I don't really listen to much pop, but I can only second what some people have already said:
UVERworld
Paris Match
They are 2 good bands. :-)

Also you might like some music from Gackt, Hyde and Psycho le Cemu. :music:
