Japanese names for everyone!

I like the names Hikari and Sora. If i'm not mistaken Hikari means light and Sora means sky :-)

HIKARI
Gender: Feminine
Usage: Japanese
Other Scripts: 光 (Japanese)
Means "light" in Japanese. It is often written ひかり using the hiragana writing system.

SORA
Gender: Feminine & Masculine
Usage: Japanese
Other Scripts: 空, 昊 (Japanese)
From Japanese 空 or 昊 which both mean "sky".

Those name translation thing are hilarious...no single name translation site can seem to agree...
Is it Shaarotto, Sharurottoe, or Charotto...or something else.
And I got three different spellings for three different sites 😌
No idea what any of them really say

Well, two names I've always loved are Mitsuyo and Keiko, which just so happen to be the names of the lovely ladies in my avatar pic. Heh! I'd like to learn more about them if possible.

:-)

My real first name would be translated as Miyako in japanese-so i find out on other site.I like this name, even if i don't know what is mean.My favourite japanese name, for a male,is Atsushi.

A japanese friend read my first name as either Yoshimitsu, Yoshiaki or Yoshiteru...

Shin-seiki Evangelion?

:pI like the names Hiro and Misako. They are both of opposite gender, which to you indicates that if I was a girl, well...
Misako is a nice name, but I can only understand the ko part of the name!!!
Misa needs to be defined, Shin. BTW, I like your name, too! If I was to call myself shin, then I guess I couldn't joke around as much as i always do! 😌

Mitsuyo for Pink Lady's Mii-chan is a combination of the kanji for "beauty" and "crane (symbol of longevity)," combined with the kanji "yo" used to signify the female gender.

Keiko for Kei-chan means "blessed child."

Important note: This applies only to this singing duo and not to all the Mitsuyos and Keikos in the world. 😊

I don't know if it's ever been used as a name .... (I suspect, most certainly not, but ...)

.... you could always call yourself 死神...

ジョン

My name is luke, duh, and that translates to light from italian supposedly so
I thought okay like, i looked it up in my japanese dictionary for light and there was akari for illuminate, So i split up akari into different kanji and i got this:
亞|あ|A = Rank
狩|かり|Kari = Hunt / raid/ gather
HAhaha any other very unconventional "spellings" for light?
