japanese girls and huggiing

yeah yeah so I've probably been answering other peoples questions about this sort of stuff but now its my turn to ask a stupid question like this (because my host mother couldn't answer it very well)

Ok so there is a particular J-girl in my school that is filled with J-girls (lol cause its in Japan) and she is rather special, actually I hold a pretty strong interest in her, and i am pretty sure she likes me.

Anyway this cute senior high third grader says to me at lunch time on friday "jieshi can I hug you"???? and I'm like "ahhh sure you can YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!" lol

my question is, is there a high chance this girl likes me, cause if so I will probably ask her out.

Post date update: Well i went on the date, I knew from the moment she wouldn't let me pay for her ice cream that this date wasn't going as planned.
Just before we ended the date I asked her if she liked me or not this is what she said
her:"oh im sorry jieshi, I actually like another boy I'm very sorry"
me: "thats ok I could already tell you didn't like me"
her: "really?"
me: "yeah. but if you like another guy why did you say yes to a date? did you just want to say you went on a date with a gaijin?" note- it was a date because she kept going on about how it was a date
her: "uuummmmm,welll yes?"
me: "ok"

so ladies and gents I have now experienced first hand what we have talked about.... being used as a foreigner. oh well i saw it coming so it doesnt hurt that much, im gonna ask love letter girl out lol

lol I would agree with you on that. I have already been noticing little things about her. The first time I met her she hid behind her friend the whole time, but now she is getting a little more comfortable around me. She is really reserved and shy and then sometimes you see these spontaneous bursts of fun and energy come from her (which is what I believe she really is) but she is very gentle.
lol I did notice on the purikura photo of me, her and some friends today that she has written in english "I want a boyfriend" with an arrow pointing to her. What made it more interesting is that she has put lots of love hearts around my head but no one else lol.

anyway I will see how it goes, I think I would perfer to take this one a little bit slower as I believe it may require some care.
