Japanese and dislexia

I have been worrying about this for some time and it has stoped me from taking a step forward in learning Japanese

I suffer with Dislexia ot being able to spell in english may not hurt in Japanese but i can't remeber what i have just read or wrote the moment i have read or wrote it

And i have problems making sence of things so i find reading frustrating becouse it makes little sence or can't remeber it

Will all this prevent me from learning Japanese i don't mind if it will be very hard but i wont to know if it is hopeless

I did not know what dyslexia is until recently, and still don't have much knowledge about it. I did just a quick search about dyslexia and 難読症 (nandokushou, which is dyslexia in Japanese) on the internet.
As far as judging from what I've read, miki78, there's nothing to prevent you from learning Japanese!

I've read many of your posts on this forum, and you are communicating with many members well, there might be some misspelled words but it's not a big deal, people do understand what you are talking.

Language is nothing but a communication tool. I'm sure you can learn Japanese and use it to communicate with people just as you are doing in English language.

I don't think that dyslexia is the only reason to make learning a language difficult. Some people find Japanese very difficult learn, others find it rather easy. Some people learn it very quickly, some take a very long time.

So if you are interested in Japanese, and want to learn it, then go ahead!
Just take your time, go at your own pace, and enjoy learning Japanese!

Don't let the fact you have dyslexia get you down. My English has always been mediocre, C's and D's all through junior high and high-school and I'm still learning Japanese.

It may be possible to be dyslexic in one language (or orthography), but have no problem in a different one.
